Before you play
Is Fornicopia free?
Yes. The browser game is free to play. This website is the home of the digital edition, not a store.
Who is the game for?
Depraved adults aged 18 and over. Fornicopia contains sexual humor and adult-themed artwork.
Do I need a download or an account?
No download or ordinary account signup is required for browser play. This website’s "Play free" button opens the game in a new tab. Optional card-back collection saving is separate from joining a game.
How many people can play?
The multiplayer game supports 2–5 players, but you can also play against any number of bots. (They're pretty dumb, though.) Get your group together, have one person create a room, and share the room code with the other players.
Can I play on a phone or tablet?
A desktop or laptop browser is recommended for now. The game’s touch and small-screen experience is not good... do not expect a finished or even playable phone layout.
How long does a game take?
It depends on the mode, number of players, and how familiar everyone is with the cards. A 2 player "Quickie: Free for All" with experienced players will likely take around an hour. The modes can vary dramatically in duration.

How do I invite friends?
Open the game, create a room, and send the room code to your friends. They can open the game in their own browser and join, using that code in the "Join Game" section.
What happens if I disconnect or refresh?
Return using the same browser and use the game’s available resume controls. In most cases, you'll be able to connect back to the the game directly, as long as temporary files haven't been deleted. The multiplayer system supports resuming a saved seat, but changing browsers, clearing browser data, or losing your recovery details can prevent automatic recovery.
Can other players see my hand?
Your private hand is not part of other players’ views and no players' hands can be viewed by a Spectator. The Festival view shows public information such as Members, stats, Patrons, scores, and card counts. Anything you choose to type or draw at the table is on you.
How do I look closely at a card?
For the most part, you can right-click a card to Inspect it. Available actions depend on many factors (such as the current phase, the card’s conditions, or Ongoing rules).
Is challenge saving the same as saving my match?
Nope. There are three separate systems:
- Multiplayer matches — the main game and its recovery system.
- Optional collection saving — challenge progress and cosmetic card backs.
- Public leaderboard submissions — an independent opt-in to compare scores.
Keep any collection recovery code private and somewhere safe. Otherwise you'll lose access to your Achievements and be stuck with a basic-ass card back again.
Things that I think you're going to ask so I might as well bring it up now
Is the PP I earn during a turn my final score?
No. I get it—it’s the same term. Here’s the difference:
- Turn PP is spending power. It does not carry over; spend it on Enchantments and other available purchases.
- Final scoring counts your Enchanted cards (whose cost is generally also their score), Patrons, the Queen’s Favor, and other scoring effects and penalties.
For the details, see Ending & scoring.
Can I play a card and then Enchant it?
Yes, when the card is eligible. During your Commit Phase, all your cards are placed in front of you, so you can Enchant a card from anything in your Play Area. You cannot Enchant from your discard or deck. Enchantments will typically glow to show they can be Enchanted during the Commit Phase.
Can I Enchant and Entice on the same turn?
Normally, no. You choose one or the other, or neither. If an opponent Cock Blocks your Entice attempt, you may pivot to Enchanting instead. Some card effects may provide an exception, though, so read each card carefully.
Do I pay PP to Entice a Patron?
No, there is no PP cost to Entice. Enticing is based on your Member’s stats alone. Meet all of an available Patron’s requirements and choose to Entice during the appropriate phase. Patrons that can be Enticed will glow.
Do Paraphernalia go into my deck?
No. Paraphernalia are gained as active tokens and never added to your deck. All your active Paraphernalia tokens are consumed after a successful Entice, even tokens you did not need to satisfy that Patron. A blocked Entice does not consume them.
When does the festival end?
When all the shared Patrons have been Enticed, the game ends. Depending on the chosen mode, other conditions such as running out of the main deck or reaching a round limit may also finish the game.
Does the longest Member automatically win?
Not at all! The longest effective Member will gain the Queen’s Favor (a 10 point award), but victory is decided by the highest final total. Enchanted cards, other Patrons, scoring effects, and Low Bloodflow all matter.
About the project
Is this the final version?
Nope. Fornicopia is a playable independent project in active development. Rules, wording, layout, and available features can change. Older saved matches may retain the rules they started with, but I will do my best to make sure older games are not overwritten with newly published game versions.
Is there a physical game?
Technically yes, but I do not offer physical-game ordering. This website is for the free digital edition. Read more on About & credits.
How do I report a bug or ask a rules question?
Email fornicopia.game@gmail.com. Do not include passwords, recovery codes, any other sensitive information.
